Charlette Moe, NDSU music lecturer and coordinator of the Master of Music Education program, will conduct the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale at Peace Lutheran Church on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m.
In the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale’s search for a new artistic director, a position formerly held by Jo Ann Miller, NDSU University Distinguished Professor and director of choral studies, they are having three guest conductors this season.
Moe will conduct the first concert of the season. A graduate of Concordia College, Minnesota State University Moorhead and NDSU, she chose repertoire that highlights connections to the Fargo-Moorhead area. The chorale will perform works by Edwin Fissinger, long-time conductor of the NDSU Concert Choir; René Clausen, current conductor of the Concordia choir; Dan Pederson, an alumnus of NDSU; and J. Aaron McDermid, an alumnus of Concordia College and current director of choral activities at Jamestown College.
The Red River Boy Choir, conducted by Charlotte Morey, also will perform at the concert. The concert will conclude with both choirs performing “Red River Valley.”
Tickets are available at the door and cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.
