Justin Wageman, associate professor in the School of Education, gave a presentation about the impact of professional development on student engagement at the 34th annual conference of the Association for Teacher Education in Europe in Palma Mallorca, Spain, on Sept. 1. Stacy Duffield, assistant professor in the School of Education, and Angela Hodge, assistant professor of mathematics, were co-presenters. The conference brought together more than 400 teacher educators from more than 40 countries within and outside Europe.
At the same conference, Wageman joined a Secondary Education Research Development Center with British, Spanish and Australian teacher educators to conduct research into learning that takes place from observation. He received a travel award from Research, Creative Activities and Technology Transfer to defray expenses.
