Kim Cameron, William Russell Kelly Professor of Management and Organization in the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, will visit the College of Business Nov. 18-19 to meet with students, faculty and staff and deliver a public presentation. He will present “Positive Leadership and Extraordinary Organizational Performance” on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m., in the AgCountry Auditorium at Richard H. Barry Hall. A reception and book signing will follow.
Cameron’s past research on organizational downsizing, organizational effectiveness, corporate quality culture and the development of leadership excellence has been published in more than 120 academic articles and 13 scholarly books. His books include "Diagnosing and Changing Organizational Culture," "Positive Organizational Scholarship," "Leading with Values," "Competing Values Leadership," "Making the Impossible Possible" and "Positive Leadership."
His current research focuses on virtuousness in and of organizations, such as forgiveness, gratitude, kindness and compassion, and their relationship to performance.
A co-founder of the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship at the University of Michigan, he also has served as dean at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, associate dean in the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and department chair at the University of Michigan.
