Human trafficking awareness seminar set for NDSU

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Advocacy and Violence Prevention Educators are set to present “WokeShop – Human Trafficking on College Campuses with Youthworks” Thursday, April 11, in the Memorial Union Mandan room.

All students, staff and faculty are invited.

Youthworks survivor advocate Megan Lundborg will discuss indicators of human trafficking, trafficking definitions, North Dakota law, statewide resources and community collaboration efforts. 

The training includes discussion on what is happening in North Dakota. Training includes materials to be used in the state specific to human trafficking, and discussion on how to work with people being trafficked. Information on the available resources in the community will be provided.
