Om Prakash Yadav, assistant professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering, has been elected a member of the board of directors of Quality Control and Reliability Engineering, a division of the Institute of Industrial Engineering.
The Quality Control and Reliability Engineering division is one of the fastest growing divisions of the institute and has membership all over the world. Board members are expected to attend the annual conference and participate in town hall meetings during the conference. Board members also are expected to be active participants in monthly conference calls and to participate in various committees.
Other major responsibilities include reviewing and selecting award papers for the Reliability and Maintainability Symposium, organizing the Industrial Engineering Research Conference track during the annual conference, reviewing papers and selecting the best papers for awards and promoting Quality Control and Reliability Engineering track activities. Yadav will serve in this position for three years.
Yadav's active participation in Quality Control and Reliability Engineering division activities, organizing Industrial Engineering Research Conference sessions, reviewing papers for several conferences and journals and publishing his research articles in well known international journals and conferences have earned him worldwide recognition. Yadav says being elected to this position provides an excellent opportunity for him to take the leadership position on the Quality Control and Reliability Engineering board and to represent NDSU at the Institute of Industrial Engineering.
