John Cox, chair of history, philosophy and religious studies, will present this semester's first World I View presentation on Thursday, Jan. 28, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater.
Titled "Love and Death in East European Cinema," Cox will show a number of film clips from outstanding works of cinema from countries such as Serbia, Albania, Hungary and Poland. The brief clips revolve around love and death and will be used as starting points to examine important social and political issues in the region. Cox is a specialist on Eastern Europe.
World I View presentations cover international topics and are presented to the NDSU and Fargo-Moorhead community. Speakers include students, faculty and staff who share their experiences on a broad range of global themes. The Office of International Programs sponsors the presentations.
