NDSU President Richard A. Hanson and the NDSU Research and Technology Park welcomed Craig Whitney, new president and CEO of the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber of Commerce, at a Meet and Greet on March 9. Whitney began his position with the chamber on Feb. 1.
Whitney has experience in the areas of fundraising, team development and public policy. With a career spanning more than 25 years, he has handled complex and high-profile assignments for leaders in politics and business in both the public and private sectors.
Whitney spent four years at the White House working in the office of Vice President Dan Quayle. Later, he worked at the Hudson Institute, a non-profit public policy research organization, and he also spent part of his career as vice president of public affairs for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. His most recent position has been chief of staff to the chairman at investment firm Cerberus Capital Management.
