Several NDSU communications professionals received awards in the North Dakota Professional Communicators’ 2009-10 communications contest.
The awards were presented April 24 during the organization’s annual conference in Fargo.
The winners and their awards are:
· Sadie Anderson, information specialist, Vice President for University Relations – first in newsletter, one- to three-color; second in newsletter, one- to three-color; two seconds in personality profile, more than 500 words; third in feature story in a publication for general or specialized circulation; and honorable mention in newsletter, four-color.
· Ellen Crawford, information specialist, Agriculture Communication – first in external annual report; second in single news release; third in news reporting in a publication for general or specialized circulation
· Joel Hagen, staff writer, Vice President for University Relations – firsts in feature story in a publication for general or specialized circulation and personality profile, more than 500 words; seconds in feature story in a publication for general or specialized circulation and news reporting in a publication for general or specialized circulation; and honorable mention in feature article for the Web
· Becky Koch, director, Agriculture Communication – firsts in non-newspaper news photography, educational Web site development, public service program, and manuals and handbooks; two firsts in audiovisuals (PowerPoint); and honorable mention in non-newspaper sports photography.
