Reid Redden will join the NDSU Department of Animal Sciences as associate professor on July 1. He will have a 50 percent Extension, 35 percent research and 15 percent teaching appointment and will serve as the NDSU Extension Service sheep specialist.
Redden will provide leadership for statewide Extension programs in sheep production and management. He also will develop an active sheep research program and facilitate the transfer of the results of that research to sheep producers. In addition, he will teach sheep-related courses at NDSU.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, his master's degree from New Mexico State University and his doctorate from Montana State University. He is in a postdoctoral scientist position with Montana State University.
