The NDSU Summer Band will perform July 15, at 7 p.m. in Festival Concert Hall. The band is made up of North Dakota Governor’s School students, NDSU students, faculty, staff, alumni and Fargo-Moorhead community members.
The performance will be followed by the North Dakota Governor’s School performing arts students’ presentation of their Travelling Vaudeville show that will wrap up a statewide tour with a final performance in Reineke Fine Arts Center at 8 p.m., July 15. An ice cream social will follow. The events are free for all attendees.
The North Dakota Governor’s School is a state sponsored program that allows promising high school scholars to attend an intensive six-week course of academic studies on the NDSU campus. In addition to their academic studies, students are exposed to leadership opportunities, ethics presentations, community service projects, cultural events and outdoor activities. This program has been in operation at NDSU for 21 years.
