SHARE

Students from North Dakota State University will put on their dancing shoes and shake a leg for 12 hours straight to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network at MeritCare Children's Hospital. The third annual Dance Marathon is set for Dec. 5-6, from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. This year's goal is to raise $15,000.

Children from the MeritCare Children's Hospital will be part of the festivities, dancing along and sharing their stories with Dance Marathon participants. Dancers also will enjoy live entertainment, including a performance by the band Kimmy Gibbler and several disc jockeys. There will be free food, inflatable games and door prizes.

For nearly a century, the MeritCare Children's Hospital has provided quality health care through a balance of medical expertise, advanced technology and compassionate care.

The registration cost is $15. Students are encouraged to register in advance to receive a free T-shirt. To register, go to www.ndsuforthekids.org. At the time of registration, students can create a fundraising goal and dance team for their student organization or a group of friends. Student are still able to register at the door.

Donations also can be made at www.ndsuforthekids.org.
