A North Dakota State University fraternity is celebrating their annual "Days of Giving" from April 5-9. Members of Theta Chi dedicate this week to service and planning events that will help others and the community.
On Monday, the fraternity members will volunteer at the YWCA.
A blood drive is planned for Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Theta Chi's fraternity house at 1307 N. University Drive.
A barbecue fundraiser is planned for Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the fraternity house. Funds raised will be donated to Relay for Life, a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society to help fund research, education, advocacy and service to cancer patients and their families. The cost is $5 per plate.
Theta Chi will wrap up the event on Friday with a highway cleanup of their "Adopt a Highway" section of Interstate 94.
Theta Chi is asking members of the NDSU and Fargo-Moorhead communities to help support the Days of Giving project by donating blood on Tuesday or Wednesday and coming to the barbecue on Thursday.
"We take great pride in serving others and living the motto of our fraternity," says Ben Nicholas, Theta Chi public relations chair.
