Thomas K. Ostenson, 95, retired professor emeritus of agricultural economics, died Aug. 25 at his daughter’s home in Irvine, Calif.
An NDSU faculty member from1964 until he retired in 1979, Ostenson earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at NDSU. In addition to teaching, he worked with the North Dakota Legislature in areas of taxation and reapportionment. After retirement, he and his wife, Connie, retired to Mesa, Ariz., where he enjoyed meeting other NDSU alumni, especially his students and advisees (or their parents) who were wintering there. A celebration of Ostenson’s life will be held in the Memorial Union Hidatsa room on Sunday, September 19, at 3 p.m.
