Strand named National Academy of Kinesiology fellow

Brad Strand, professor of health, nutrition and exercise science, was inducted as a fellow in the National Academy of Kinesiology (formerly The American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education) at its annual meeting in Williamsburg, Va.

The academy encourages and promotes the study and educational applications of human movement and physical activity and honors individuals for significant contributions.

Academy membership is by nomination and member approval only. New members are nominated by current fellows and presented to the nominating committee for review. Strand becomes the 501st member in the 80-year existence of the academy and is the only person from North Dakota to ever receive such membership.
