Information Technology Services has scheduled advanced classes on Wimba Classroom, a live, virtual classroom environment that allows faculty to communicate with students in real-time using Blackboard.
Advanced training is for people who already have Wimba classrooms and are using them regularly at an introductory level. Attendees should have working knowledge of Wimba Classroom, including the ability to pre-load PowerPoint and use text chat features, E-board and basic poll feature. Advanced ideas will be presented and participants will practice the techniques.
Wimba: Sharing (advanced)
Practice sharing desktop computer content with both instructors and students. Content will include documents, software applications and websites, etc.

Enabling the E-board for student sharing

Wimba: Polling Features (advanced)
Create more advanced polling questions utilizing photos, audio and video clips.
Tracking polling results for grades

Wednesday, Nov. 10, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
