Tri-College University announces the availability of collaborative grant funds to promote new collaborative initiatives. These start-up, one-time grant funds are for faculty, staff and students who want to pursue initiatives to help further the mission of TCU to promote cooperative efforts to enrich the academic environment of partnering campuses.
“We have found these collaborations to be so successful that we are now increasing the maximum groups can apply for to $1,500. We hope this will allow for more opportunity, flexibility and options. This TCU program is intended to develop collaborative relationships between people in our campus community that share a common interest and vision,” said TCU Provost Tim Flakoll.
Interested faculty, staff and students at each campus are encouraged to submit a grant application: detailing their project, need that it fills, level of collaboration and participation between campuses, expected outcomes and level of funding that they are seeking. Grants awarded will range from $250 to $1,500. Availability and level of awards are subject to the availability of funds at Tri-College University. Matching funds are not required for eligibility.
The deadline to apply for the grant is Feb. 14, 2011, the campus community may access an application from the TCU website at www.tri-college.org, or by calling Sonia Mayo Hohnadel, TCU Communications Coordinator at 1-8170.
