Tom Dowdell, associate professor of accounting, had a paper published in the fall/winter 2010 edition of Journal of Financial Education. Dowdell co-wrote “The Role of Analysts’ Earnings Forecasts in the Valuation Process: An Introductory Overview” with Morris Danielson of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, and Michael Schoderbek of Rutgers Business School, New Brunswick, N.J.
The paper provides an overview of how analyst earnings forecasts are used in the valuation process, identifying important links between the disciplines of accounting and finance.
