Northern Crops Institute will offer a Feed Safety and Development of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points Plan Short Course March 15-17 at the Institute in Fargo. The course is co-sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association and the National Grain and Feed Association.

The course will focus on the development of a voluntary hazard analysis critical control points plan for all sectors of the feed industry, including ingredient suppliers and finished feed manufacturers (commercial, non-commercial and on-farm). Attendees will develop the template that is needed to create hazard analysis critical control points plans geared to their individual company’s operation.

Matt Frederking, international hazard analysis critical control points alliance lead instructor, will be the course instructor. Kim Koch, manager of the Institute’s Feed Center, will coordinate the course.

Recommended attendees for this workshop include, but are not limited to, individuals involved in the production, quality assurance, procurement or ingredient sourcing, and regulatory aspects of feed manufacturing.

Registration fee is $500. Payment in full is due before the start of the course. The registration deadline is Feb. 21. The course fee includes course materials and refreshment breaks. Hotel rooms and meals are not included in the registration fee. Special rates are available to groups of three or more from the same company.
