NDSU provost search committee sets timeline

SHARE

The North Dakota State University provost search committee set a timeline to forward candidates to President Dean L. Bresciani by mid-April at its first meeting Jan. 19.

The committee is scheduled to meet Feb. 9 to review applications and Feb. 23 to narrow the pool of candidates to invite for neutral site interviews March 5 and 6.

The remaining candidates will visit campus for formal interviews in early April.

“The timeline is aggressive but necessary to hire a new provost long before the fall semester,” said search committee chair Neil Gudmestad. “This individual will also need to share President Bresciani’s vision of what NDSU can be in the future.”

Updates to the search process will be posted at www.ndsu.edu/news/provostsearch/.

The Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs will serve as the chief academic officer of NDSU, and provide increased coordination of all university scholarly and instructional activities. The vice presidents for Research, Creative Activities and Technology Transfer; Agriculture and University Extension; Information Technology; and Equity Diversity and Global Outreach will report to the president through the provost.
