The NDSU Department of Animal Sciences is set to host the 10th annual Moos, Ewes and More event on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NDSU Equine Center, located at 5140 19th Ave N.
The free, family-friendly event will be held rain or shine. Attendees can take part in a variety of activities and demonstrations.
“Moos, Ewes and More gives people the opportunity to see first-hand what animal sciences is all about,” said co-chair Loren Baranko, lecturer of animal sciences. “Attendees will have the chance to see dog, cattle and equine demonstrations, and will also have the opportunity to go on a wagon ride and meet the animals that call NDSU home. The event is meant to bring the community closer to animal agriculture and give them a chance to talk with those who are involved with the animals on a day-to-day basis.”
In addition, a free breakfast will be offered for the first 500 guests, sponsored by the North Dakota Beef Commission.
