The Volunteer Network and the FABO (Fashion, Apparel, Business Organization) Club are asking students, faculty and staff to donate new and gently used women’s suits, business attire and accessories for the Dress for Success clothing drive March 7-11. Donations can be brought to the Student Activities Office in the Memorial Union, the bookstore in Richard H. Barry Hall or the Dress for Success contact table in the Memorial Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this week.
Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization offering services designed to help clients find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return for a second suit or separates when she finds work.
The professional clothing and employment retention programs and ongoing support provide clients a symbol of faith in every woman's ability to be self-sufficient and successful in her career.
