NDSU graduate students will be in the spotlight during Three Minute Thesis, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Memorial Union. Students will vie for cash prizes as they present their research in only 180 seconds.
Oliver Frenzel, a Master of Public Health student, will present “The Opioid Epidemic: Pharmacists on the Frontline.” His talk will examine ONE Rx, which stands for opioid and naloxone education – its focus is a screening tool offered to patients filling an opioid prescription. The aim is to assist pharmacists to identify risk factors associated with opioid misuse or overdose.
The first round of the competition is set for 10 a.m. to noon, with the championship round and awards presentation scheduled for 2 p.m.
