NDSU is set to host Darwin Days activities Thursday and Friday, Feb. 27-28.
An evolution pop-up museum is scheduled Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the A. Glenn Hill Center’s atrium. Participants can celebrate Darwin’s birthday with cake Feb. 28 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Anthropologist John Hawks is set to give the keynote address, “Discoveries That Shed New Light on our African Origin,” Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. in the A. Glenn Hill Center, room 112. Hawks is the Vilas-Borghesi Distinguished Achievement Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Darwin Days commemorate the birthday of Charles Darwin, and highlights his many contributions to science as a naturalist, geologist and biologist. Darwin is best known for his work in evolution.
