The Department of Residence Life hosted a celebration banquet on April 1. The banquet recognized students, faculty and staff who contributed to another successful year in residence life and whose contributions will have a lasting impact on students.
Michael Burns, a doctoral student and instructor in the Department of Communication, and Linda Fricker, an academic adviser in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, were named Outstanding Faculty Mentors of the Year. Burns was nominated based on his work with residents in Reed Hall. Fricker was recognized for her dedication to the arts, humanities and social sciences community in Pavek Hall.
University Police were awarded the Residence Life Distinguished Service Award in recognition of years of collaboration and partnership with the department.
