Donna Grandbois, assistant professor of nursing, was invited to present at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s annual Spring Leadership Training for the Nurse Faculty Scholars Program March 23-24 in Chicago.
The meeting’s theme was “Skills for Teaching Excellence.” The focus of the conference was development of a community of learning and leadership at the institutional and school of nursing level.
The meeting objectives were to discuss key trends in academia and health professional education including interdisciplinary/interprofessional education; list creative pedagogical techniques used by other scholars and experts; and identify important elements of what it means to develop “a community of learning,” with emphasis on providing institutional leadership for diversity and evaluation.
