Daniel Friesner has accepted the position of associate dean for student affairs and faculty development in the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences.
Friesner will provide administrative oversight for all matters related to student affairs in the college and the creation of a formal faculty development program for the college.
Friesner has served as interim associate dean for student affairs since March 1, 2010. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Minnesota in 1996 and his doctorate in economics from Washington State University in 2000.
Friesner joined NDSU in July of 2008 as associate professor of pharmacy practice. He previously held tenure track positions in business schools at the University of Southern Indiana, Weber State University and Gonzaga University, all of which are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. He was awarded the endowed Erwin Graue Chair in Economics at Gonzaga University.
Friesner will hold the rank of full professor with tenure at NDSU beginning July 1.
