The opening ceremony for the 2011 Nurturing American Tribal Undergraduate Research and Education (NATURE) Summer Camp at NDSU is scheduled for Monday, June 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains room.
NATURE is an education outreach project sponsored by North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). It aims to improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics education among North Dakota tribal college and high school students and to build a pathway for the pursuit of careers in those disciplines.
NATURE builds on activities of a long-term collaboration between North Dakota tribal colleges, NDSU and the University of North Dakota. Project participants include students and faculty from tribal colleges and high schools and faculty from NDSU and UND.
