It’s time to apply for housing if you will be a freshman at NDSU in the fall.
Incoming NDSU students can select their residence hall room in March through the online room self-selection process. Priority is determined by application date — the sooner you apply, the better your chances of getting the hall and room of your choice.
Selecting your own room and hall is new. “In the past, we would assign your space,” said Tara Ferkinhoff, assistant director of marketing in the Department of Residence Life and Dining. “Now you can go online and select your room, similar to how you would select a seat on an airplane.”
Paige Earnest, an incoming freshman from Jamestown, North Dakota, can’t wait for the fall semester to begin.
“I would love to be in Cater Hall or Thompson Hall,” Earnest said. “I am most excited for meeting new people and making memories.”
And Lauren LeBlanc, an incoming freshman from Fort Drum, New York, wants to live in Cater Hall. "I’ve been a military child all my life so I’m really excited to become part of the Bison community and meet new people this fall, she said.
