SHARE

The NDSU Counseling Center has been reaccredited by the International Association of Counseling Services Inc., an organization of international university and college counseling agencies based in Alexandria, Va. The center was evaluated based on high standards of counseling practice and was found to offer reliable and high quality professional services to its clientele. Approval by International Association of Counseling Services also is dependent on evidence of continuing professional development of staff members and the demonstration of excellence in counseling performance.

The NDSU Counseling Center is located in Ceres Hall and offers individual, group and couples counseling related to personal/emotional issues, academic issues and career issues. The center is staffed by eight full-time counselors/psychologists, six graduate student counseling trainees, a test administrator and an administrative secretary. The center also offers consultation and testing services to the campus community, as well as a variety of training opportunities related to mental health issues. The center can be contacted at 1-7671.

International Association of Counseling Services was established in 1972 to encourage and aid university and college counseling agencies to meet high professional standards through peer evaluation and to inform the public about counseling services that are professional and reliable.
