Impressive images of NDSU’s history are on prominent display at the new “T Lofts” apartment complex. The 102-unit complex developed by Roers Development Inc. of Fargo is located adjacent to the southwest corner of NDSU’s T Lot.
According to NDSU archivist Michael Robinson, massive photos are displayed near the complex elevators on second through fifth floors. He said the four images were selected following a series of meetings with Roers representatives.
The photos include three NDAC students working in the Chemistry Laboratory in Ladd Hall in the 1950s, four students in the Agronomy Laboratory of Morrill Hall in the mid-1950s, members of Little Country Theatre preparing for the play “Hedda Gabler” in 1948 and a football game versus the University of North Dakota in the 1890s.
“Each photograph is 10 feet long by 8 feet high, is protected by thin Plexiglas and has high quality metal signage that credits the University Archives,” Robinson explained. “These great images are important public relations for NDSU.”
