The NDSU Pride Network announced a series of events planned for the fall semester. An organization formed by and for LGBTQ employees in collaboration with the NDSU Strategic Plan for Diversity, Equity and Community and the Office of Equity, Diversity and Global Outreach, Pride Network welcomes all LGBTQ employees to join them this semester in a variety of activities.
The five-year anniversary of the Pride Network at NDSU will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Gallery. Brown bag lunch meetings are scheduled to begin at noon on the following dates: Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 30, Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 22 and April 26. The fall 2012 LunchOUT series invites employees for lunch off campus. They will be held at noon on Sept. 20, Nov. 7 and Dec. 6.
October is LGBT Pride Month. More details on events will become available, but several events already are planned. An LGBT faculty, staff, student and alumni homecoming reception is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stoker Lounge, Hotel Donaldson. Attendees must be 21 or older.
An NDSU LGBT post-homecoming parade reception also is scheduled for Oct. 6 at the Equity and Diversity Center.
