Innovation Week events on Wednesday, Feb. 27, include the student innovation competition and a brown bag seminar focused on sales and marketing. The events are free and open to the public.
Innovation Challenge ’13
Twenty-two student innovation teams will give oral presentations on their projects from 8:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. in the Memorial Union Prairie and Hidatsa rooms.
Posters detailing their innovative projects will be on display from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains room.
NDSU students, faculty and staff as well as the public are invited to vote for a team to win a $1,000 People’s Choice Award. Voting is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains room.
Winners of Innovation Challenge ’13 and the People’s Choice Award will be announced at the keynote presentation and awards ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Memorial Union Great Plains Ballroom. Brown bag seminar: Sales and marketing
Mariah Madsen, media engagement lead at Flint Communications, Fargo, N.D., will give a presentation on sales and marketing 12:15-1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater. Bring your lunch.
As media engagement lead, Madsen establishes direction and growth of the media discipline across all Flint Group agencies. She has helped execute successful media plans for numerous national clients, including Education Minnesota, SunButter, Essentia Health and St. Cloud State University. She is a part of the largest media placement agency in the Midwest and has strong relationships with media representatives across the country.
Madsen earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a minor in business administration from NDSU.
