NDSU Distance and Continuing Education will sponsor a two-day seminar, “Are You Ready to Sell Your House?” scheduled for Thursday, April 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the NDSU SGC building, room D104.
Selling a house in today’s economy takes preparation and understanding of the home-buying climate in your area. Sellers need to know what is important to meet a buyer’s expectations. This workshop provides information on how to prepare, stage and sell a house.
A panel of realtors and other home sales professionals will provide insights in deciding when and how to sell a house. Presenter Cheryl Thompson, a former banker and consumer education instructor, said, “I thought people might benefit from this program to assist them in selling such a major purchase.”
Topics of discussion include:
- Initial planning and preparation for selling a house
- Options for selling through a realtor or on your own
- Necessary repairs before you sell
- How to clean, de-clutter and showcase a house.
The seminar is open to the public and costs $25 per person. Individuals are invited to bring a guest or spouse for an additional $5 when registering at the same time. Seating is limited.
