The Department of Residence Life hosted a celebration banquet March 22. Focusing on students, faculty and staff, the banquet recognized people whose contributions have a lasting impact on students and who have contributed to another successful year in Residence Life.
Jim Coykendall was awarded Faculty Member of the Year, based on the meaningful impact he continues to have with students in the community of Reed/Johnson Hall. Once per week, he offers math tutoring in the hall lounge and invites students who need help with any math class to attend.
Kathy Laid, customer service representative in Publications Services, received the Residence Life Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented based on her extensive support of Residence Life in coordinating the design, revision, printing and delivery of hundreds of printed materials used by the department over many years.
