Memorial Service set for former Bison player, scholarship established
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, for former NDSU women's basketball player Jackie Parsley, who died April 19. The service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 120 21st Ave. N., Fargo. She was 42.
Lynn Dorn, director of women’s athletics, said a women's basketball scholarship has been established in Parsley’s name. Persons interested in making a gift may make their check payable to NDSU Development Foundation/Parsley Gift and send it to the NDSU Development Foundation, 1241 N. University Drive, Fargo, ND 58102.
Parsley, a native of Kindred, N.D., played center on NDSU’s 1991 and 1993 NCAA Division II national championship and 1992 national runner-up teams. She earned 1993 national championship all-tournament team honors and was a two two-time all-North Central Conference performer.
