Kristi Wold-McCormick, NDSU registrar, was featured in the May issue of The Successful Registrar, a national monthly newsletter providing practical guidance and the latest information for registrars.
The article, “Work with campus offices to improve policies,” describes how Wold-McCormick and her staff collect a variety of data and examine trends among students. She then discusses what was learned with administrators, officials in other offices and faculty to advocate changes in policy.
In a sidebar story, she urges people new to the registrar profession to attend a national conference. Wold-McCormick is past-president of the Upper Midwest Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers.
The Successful Registrar, which is published by Wiley Periodicals, covers many topics ranging from implementing the newest technology to complying with new Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act regulations.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
