Bison place 33 student-athletes on football honor roll

The NDSU football team placed 33 student-athletes on the 2012-13 Missouri Valley Football Honor Roll announced by the league office July 2.

Fifteen of the 33 student-athletes received the league's Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum grade-point average of 3.2 for the previous two semesters. In addition, the Missouri Valley Football Conference announced its 2012-13 Honor Roll, which recognizes academic achievement of student-athletes. To qualify for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete needs a minimum 3.0 grade-point average during fall 2012, is a member of an athletics team and have a minimum of 12 hours of enrollment during the fall.

Bison players who earned the Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award include Myles Brooks, Garrett Bruhn, Lynk Downing, Ryan Drevlow, Dylan Dunn, Kyle Emanuel, Brock Gion, Andrew Grothmann, Jesse Hinz, Justin Juckem, Danny Luecke, Ryan Smith, Esley Thorton, Cooper Wahlo and Carson Wentz.
 

Members of the Honor Roll include Justin Arp, Zachary Baker, Joey Blackmore, Myles Brooks, Garrett Bruhn, Jedre Cyr, Lynk Downing, Ryan Drevlow, Christian Dudzik, Dylan Dunn, Kyle Emanuel, Trevor Gebhart, Brock Gion, Andrew Grothmann, Mike Hardie, Jesse Hinz, Brock Jensen, Cole Jirik, Matthew Jones, Justin Juckem, Adam Keller, Danny Luecke, Nate Moody, Bobby Ollman, Eric Perkins, Jack Plankers, Ryan Smith, Joey Sonnenfeld, MJ Stumpf, Esley Thorton, Zach Vraa, Cooper Wahlo and Carson Wentz.
