Michael Strand, NDSU associate professor and head of visual arts, is scheduled to be a plenary speaker for the upcoming Concordia College Symposium: Faith, Reason and World Affairs.
Strand's lecture, “Benevolent Disruption: Public Art, Design and Craft at Human Scale,” is set for Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 4:30 p.m. at Concordia College’s Francis Frazier Comstock Theater in Moorhead.
According to Strand, the lecture will present “System Making” – a concept developed through recent projects that use existing public, private and civic systems as infrastructure to move community building concepts and projects into the world.
