Introduction

Are you attracted by a cup-shaped, bright colored, beautiful flower? Tulips fit this exact description. From their smooth, green stem up to their wanderous petals,Tulips are an ever so glorious flower to have around. My fascination with Tulips started a few summers ago when I landed a job working as a utility man for an older couple at their cabin near my hometown Alexandria,MN.

My job duties entailed taking care of many responsibilities; upon a majority of them being to prune, water, and plant many different plants. Included in these plants were many flower beds, which contained many different types of flowers such as: Roses, Peonies, Daffodils, and Tulips.

A majority of these flowers were different types of Tulips. My objective is to introduce interesting facts and characteristics of Tulips so every person may become more familiar with them as a flower. For example, as of 2011, there are about 3,000 different varieties of Tulips cultivated in the world.
