The core facility at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has state-of-art equipments including dark room (with a Kodak RPX-Omat processor); cold room; autoclave facility; Revco -80 degree freezer; FluorChem 5500 Imager from Alpha Innotech; Avanti J-E centrifuge from Bechman Coulter; Optima LE-80k Ultracentrifuge from Beckman; Ice system; Millipore water purification system; Tri-Carb 2900 TR liquid scintillation analyzer from Packard; GUAVA portable flow cytometer; Beckman Coulter Cell Lab Quanta SC flow cytometer; Nikon C1 confocal microscope; SpectraMax M5 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader (Absorbance, Fluorescence intensity, TRF, Fluorescence Polarization, and Luminescence); Leica CM1950 cryostat for cryosection; Pathogen-free Innovive IVC System (Innovive) and safety cabinet for nude mice experiments; J-815 CD spectrometer (Jasco); Freezone 4.5 Freeze Dry System (Labconco); Zeta Sizer Nano-ZS90 (Malvern). The core facility room is adjacent to Guo lab, and the equipments are easily available for use with flexible scheduling.
