Mompha eloisella (Clemens 1860)

Common name: listed here as ‘Primrose mompha.’

Hodges #: 1443.

Identification: Rfw 6.48 mm, fw with black basal and median costal spots; palpi white, 2nd segment brownish-black at base, 3rd segment with two black rings.

Similar species: none known from ND.

Distribution: southern Canada and eastern United States.

Hosts: larvae feed on Oenothera spp.– evening primroses.
