You are welcome to attend one or both days, or even just part of a day—any help is greatly appreciated!Please let Karla know if you plan to help: karla.meikle@ndsu.edu📅 Join us May 6 and/or May 7 at North Dakota 4-H Camp in Washburn.🕘 We will begin at 9:00 AM CST each day.What to Bring:To help make the work easier, we encourage volunteers to bring chainsaws (if trained to use them), gloves, rakes, shovels, tools, or anything else that might help complete the tasks listed above.Food & Lodging:Snacks, coffee, water, and pop will be provided.The 4-H Foundation will provide dinner at Captain’s Cabin uptown on both days.Lodging is available at camp for those who wish to stay overnight! What to Bring:

  • Move kayaks and canoes from the Butler Building
  • Organize new storage buildings
  • Pick up branches as needed
  • Mowing
  • Fill the wood supply for campfire locations
  • Clean up the pollinator garden
  • Tighten the tension on the climbing rope wall
  • Clear walking trails
  • Check supply inventory
  • Inspect the river trail for safety and mark necessary areas
  • Clear the culvert rack
  • Clean and stock the camp store
  • Indoor cleaning: wipe down and sweep all areas, clean windows, and sanitize mattresses
  • Kitchen cleaning: organize, clean, and wash dust off dishes from the winter
  • Remove deadfall from the woods
  • Power wash all cabins
  • Repair picnic tables
  • Tighten the tension on the zip line
