Understanding Abuse & Neglect for Childcare Providers
Participants will define child abuse and neglect; learn about the prevalence of abuse and neglect in the infant/toddler population; examine the impact of maltreatment on development; discuss risk and protective factors; review signs of possible abuse and neglect; review role as mandated reporters; and strategize how best to discuss concerns with parents. Eligible for Growing Futures credit hours. Class is approved for Growing Futures childcare provider education credits (6hrs). Class DatesThursdays; October 3, 10, 17Cost$10
