Ground Beef Stroganoff
1 pound ground beef ½ tsp. minced garlic
½ c. chopped onion Paprika to taste
1 (15-oz.) can cream of 1 (4-oz.) can mushrooms
mushroom soup (optional)
1 c. skim milk 3 c. egg noodles, cooked
1 c. low-fat sour cream
Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet until cooked through. Drain any excess fat. Return to skillet and set aside. In a small bowl, mix together soup and milk. Add sour cream, garlic, mushrooms and paprika. Pour mixture into the skillet with the ground beef and return to medium heat. Cook until mixture is thoroughly mixed together and hot, at an internal temperature of at least 165 F. Serve over egg noodles.
Makes four servings.
Each serving has 320 calories, 8 grams (g) fat, 30 g protein, 31 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber and 380 milligrams sodium.
