4-H State Shotgun Invitational

Registration

Registration for the shoot will be live on 4-H Online July 8. Online registration deadline is July 28. You will need to indicate the county youth will represent and events. Your times will be assigned and sent to you in advance.

Check In 

Trap check in will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, August 10. You will be assigned a shooting time in advance and those times will be sent out via email to you, your county Extension Office and also posted on the North Dakota 4-H Shooting Sports Facebook page. Relays will begin at 9:00am. 

Concessions

Concessions will not be available for this event. Please plan to bring your own water, snacks etc. You will have time for lunch between trap and skeet/sporting clays.

Payment

Match fee for three match events is $65 or a single event is a flat fee of $40. Payments can be made on 4-H Online. No registration after July 28.  

Eligibility

Shotgun will be open to all junior and senior participants (11 and older as of December 31, 2023). Youth may shoot up in the senior division if they will be old enough (14) by the date to be eligible the national competition. Participants must be enrolled 4-H members and have passed North Dakota Hunter Education.

Shooting Times

• Shooting times will be assigned. 
• Trap will consist of four rounds of 25. 
• Skeet will consist of two rounds of 25.
• Sporting clays will consist of one round of 50 shots.
• Sporting clays will be on the sporting clays course.

Dress and Equipment

• 4-H T shirt, hearing protection, and eye protection are required. 
• Shorts must be neat and not torn are acceptable.
