Comments

The state tree of Montana often grows in pure stands in the forest. Useful for mass plantings and shelterbelts.

Well-maintained trees typically don't have disease or insect issues if planted in the correct location.

A very important pine tree in the lumber industry as it furnishes more timber than any other American pine tree.

Thrives under widely different conditions and in many kinds of soils.
