Parent and Family Education Webinar: Attachment in the Family System
This presentation will explore the basics of family systems and the impact these systems have on individuals and relationships. We will examine attachment styles, the role attachment plays in shaping relationships within families, how these attachment styles set a blueprint for future relationships, and how culture may influence our understanding of attachment. Additionally, the concept of fixed versus growth mindset will be explored and along with its significance in shaping views about families and parent/caregiver-child relationships. The presentation will show how these concepts - family systems, attachment, and growth mindset - are interconnected and will offer insights for consideration within the parent/caregiver-child relationship along with practical ideas and considerations for practitioners.
