People

Laboratory Director: Laura E. Thomas

Dr. Thomas received her Ph.D. in 2008 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the Department of Psychology at NDSU in 2011, she was a post-doctoral researcher at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Thomas is interested in the ways in which action, action affordances, and social interactions affect perception and cognition.

Graduate Student: Mason Wehse

Mason joined the Action and Cognition Lab in 2015 after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. Mason's work examines interactions between language processing, visual attention, and action affordances.

Graduate Student: Robert McManus

Robert joined the Action and Cognition Lab in 2016 after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Robert is currently investigating links between action affordances and covert visual attention.

Honors Student: Hallie Anderson

Hallie joined the Action and Cognition Lab in 2014 and is this year's winner of the E. V. Estensen undergraduate research award. Hallie is currently investigating the ways in which brief physical contact may influence social decision-making.
