If you’ve dreamed of a successful career in business, NDSU can get you there.
Business student Dieumerci Christel knows that first hand.
Christel recently was among 12 fellows chosen from across the nation to participate in the WeFunder Workaway in Hawaii. The event helps entrepreneurs develop their commercial ideas.
Christel, a junior majoring in management, grew up in Tanzania before moving to West Fargo. He is president of the NDSU entrepreneurship club and is part of the Nice Productions team at The Nice Center, which is affiliated with the NDSU College of Business. He also recently started Enlight, an app for teachers to help them individualize education for their students.
“NDSU has given me the resources and the support that have shaped my entrepreneurial journey,” he said. “NDSU is different because it doesn't just teach you about entrepreneurship, it actually helps you get started.”
Christel’s ambition is to be a serial entrepreneur, and he describes NDSU as the best place for him to reach for that goal.
“NDSU is the right size – not too big, not too small. I have so many opportunities that I would probably not get at other colleges,” he said. “The atmosphere and the support is unique because I have access to a lot of professors who I can proudly call mentors. With NDSU, I don't feel alone on this crazy entrepreneurial journey.”
