It’s a terrific time to apply to NDSU. You’ll find that it has never been easier or quicker.
The application fee is being waived, and there is no ACT/SAT test score requirement through spring 2022.
“As a land-grant institution, we are committed to ensuring access to education. We believe waiving the application fee and test score requirements can help remove potential barriers for students,” said Seinquis Leinen, NDSU Office of Admission interim director. “In addition to simplifying and expediting the admission process, this also ensures students can be considered for scholarships and financial aid, which typically have priority deadlines.”
The decision to waive test scores is based on the limited availability of tests and closures of testing sites because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, NDSU will rely on the high school grade-point averages and high school core courses to make admission decisions.
First-year students who report a 2.75 or greater unweighted GPA and meet NDSU’s high school core coursework requirements will be admitted. First-year students who do not meet the minimum guidelines are still strongly encouraged to apply—they will still be considered if there is evidence in the student's academic record that demonstrates a high probability of success.
“Now is a great time to apply to NDSU. We encourage students to apply early to ensure they do not miss out on NDSU financial aid and scholarships opportunities, which have a priority deadline of Feb. 1,” Leinen said. “Our admission team is committed to assisting you with the college search and application process. Please contact us so we can assist you as you explore your opportunities at NDSU.”
